Use Policy
Last updated 15 September 2026
This Policy says what may and may not be done on DailySundry. It applies to everything you publish or send here - a listing, a product, an enquiry, a chat message, an attachment - and it forms part of the Terms & Conditions. Breaking it can cost you your content, your account, or both.
1. Be a real business, and be yourself
List a business you are entitled to act for, under its own name. Do not impersonate another company, another person, or us. Do not create a listing for a business that does not exist, or hold several accounts to make one seller look like many.
Say what is true. Do not overstate what you sell, invent an address or a certification, or use a badge, logo or wording that suggests an approval you have not been given.
2. What must not be published or sent
Nothing you host, display, upload, publish, send or share here may - and this list follows rule 3(1)(b) of India's Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021:
- belong to someone else when you have no right to it;
- be obscene, pornographic or paedophilic, invade anyone's privacy (including bodily privacy), insult or harass anyone on the basis of gender, be racially or ethnically objectionable, relate to or encourage money laundering or gambling, or promote enmity between groups on the basis of religion or caste with the intent to incite violence;
- be harmful to a child, or involve a child in any way;
- infringe a patent, trade mark, copyright, design or any other proprietary right;
- deceive or mislead anyone about where a message came from, or knowingly and deliberately share information that is patently false, untrue or misleading;
- impersonate another person or business, or us;
- threaten the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, India's friendly relations with foreign states or public order, incite the commission of any cognisable offence, prevent the investigation of any offence, or insult any other nation;
- contain a virus or any code or file designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the working of any computer resource, or a link intended to phish or take over an account;
- break any law in force in India, or the law of the place the goods or services are offered, including by offering goods or services whose sale is restricted or prohibited.
And, because this is a trading directory, nothing here may:
- be a scam, an advance-fee approach, a fake invoice, or any other attempt to defraud;
- harass, threaten or defame anyone;
- contain someone else's personal details - an identity document, a bank account, a private address - that you have no right to publish;
- be unrelated advertising, bulk marketing, or the same message sent to many businesses;
- copy another business's photographs, descriptions or articles to present as your own, or crop or edit the DailySundry mark out of a photo in order to reuse it.
Descriptions and articles carry bold, italic and bullet lists, from the buttons above the box and from nowhere else. HTML, scripts, styling and embedded content are not accepted and are removed: what you paste keeps its words and loses its formatting. This is not a restriction on what you may say, only on how it may be dressed - a directory where every listing renders differently is harder to read for the buyers all of them are trying to reach.
3. Contact details are for contacting
A contact detail revealed to you is for reaching that business about its business. It is not a list, and it is not yours to keep.
You may not:
- collect, export, copy or compile contact details into a database of your own;
- sell, share or publish them, or pass them to anyone else;
- send bulk or unsolicited marketing to them, by email, SMS, WhatsApp or automated call - a revealed number is not consent to be marketed to;
- scrape or crawl the site to extract them, or use any tool, script or account-sharing arrangement to do so.
This is not aimed at search engines or AI assistants that read public pages and follow the rules in our robots.txt: we welcome them, because being found is what a listing is for. It is aimed at collecting contact details, or copying the directory in bulk, whatever the tool is called.
A WhatsApp number is a contact detail like any other. Being given one - because a visitor ticked that their number is on WhatsApp, or because a business published one - lets you write to that person about that enquiry. It is not a list to add to, and a WhatsApp broadcast is bulk marketing however it is sent.
We rate-limit reveals, log who saw what, and will act on a pattern that looks like harvesting. This is the rule we enforce most readily, because breaking it harms the businesses who trusted us with the details.
4. Enquiries and chat
Keep it about business. A message should be an enquiry a business would want to receive: what you need, in what quantity, and who you are.
Do not send payment card numbers, passwords, one-time codes or identity documents through chat or an enquiry. Neither we nor any legitimate business will ask you for them there.
Messages, attachments and consent records - time, IP address, browser, approximate location - are kept so that transcripts can be emailed, disputes settled and this Policy enforced. Administrators may read them where they need to for those purposes. Attachments should be business documents, and you must have the right to share what you upload.
Starting a chat or sending an enquiry may put a short verification step in front of you, and a code is emailed to the address you give before either is delivered. Both are there to keep automated senders out of businesses' inboxes. Do not attempt to bypass, automate or outsource them.
Enquiries are read by an administrator before they are passed to the business. One that is spam, abusive or unrelated to the business it is addressed to is not delivered.
A business decides its own availability and may block a conversation. We may rate-limit or restrict messaging to protect the Service or the people on it.
5. If a conversation goes wrong
A business can stop a conversation on its own listing at any time, and can start it again. We can stop one too, where it breaches this Policy or the Terms. When we do, both people in it are told it has been stopped and are shown the reason we recorded - the same words to each of them, so neither is left guessing. A conversation we stopped cannot be reopened by the business; ask us.
If the account on the other side is closed, the conversation stops accepting messages and you are told the company is no longer available. Nothing already said is deleted.
6. Do not attack the Service
No probing, scanning or testing of the site's security without written permission, no attempts to reach an account or a record that is not yours, no interference with the site's working, and no bypassing a limit, a paywall or a bot check - including by sharing an account to multiply what it may see.
7. If a listing should not be here
Some listings in this directory were compiled from outside sources rather than created by the business - the Terms explain where listings come from. If one is yours, or names you, you can take it over or have it removed, free and without giving a reason, through Claim, remove or report a listing.
8. How we work out who did something
Every submission on this site - a registration, a log in, an enquiry, a chat consent, a contact reveal, a support ticket, an order, a payment, and a request to claim, remove or report a listing - is recorded with the IP address and browser it came from, and with an approximate city where we can derive one. That is what makes it possible to tell five requests from one person apart from five people, which is the whole of an abuse investigation.
It is visible to us and to nobody else: not to the business you wrote to, and not to the person who wrote to you. The Privacy Policy sets out what is kept, for how long, and what you can ask us to do with it.
9. Reporting, and what we do about it
Report anything that breaks this Policy through report a listing or to legal@dailysundry.com. A person reads every report.
Depending on what we find we may do nothing, edit or remove the content, unpublish the listing, restrict messaging, suspend the account, or end it. Serious cases - fraud, threats, material involving a child - are reported to the authorities, and we preserve what is needed for that. Where an account is ended for a breach, no refund is due.
If you think we got it wrong, the Grievance Officer named in the Terms will look at it again.
